Ceramic outer ring and luminous display
Legendary diver's watch
The unidirectional rotating 60-minute graduated outer bezel of the Rolex Deepsea allows divers to accurately and safely monitor their diving and decompression times. The triangular mark at the zero mark on the outer bezel is filled with the same luminous material, emitting a long-lasting blue light that is clearly visible even in a dark environment. Rolex uses PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating technology to coat the outer bezel with a thin layer of gold film.
The pressure ring, dial and Cerachrom ceramic bezel present different shades of blue, which blend harmoniously with each other to create a delicate ocean tone, complementing the 18K gold case and Oyster strap.
Blue Dial
Clear reading in water
The blue lacquered dial is matched with the word “DEEPSEA” in yellow powder coating. The dial is equipped with oversized Chromalight hands and hour markers, which are coated with luminous materials and emit a long-lasting blue light in the dark, making it clear and easy to read.
It uses simple triangular, circular and rectangular hour markers, as well as clearly sized and shaped hands. The hour markers and hands are filled or coated with Chromalight luminous materials, which emit long-lasting blue light, and the luminous time is twice that of traditional phosphorescent materials.
